A 101 year old lady has recently become an American citizenship after many years of not knowing exactly what immigration status she had in the United States. The lady, came to the United States in 1909 with her mother. She had lived in the United States ever since and received a document in 1941 that was eventually used to help her demonstrate her eligibility for naturalization.
The USCIS had no electronic record of her eligibility and would not of been able to issue her a naturalization document without the lady’s records that she had kept all these years. Is there a better example of why every immigrant should keep a copy of every document that is received or sent to any immigration agency.
Congratulations to the newest American citizen, Ms. Eulalia Garcia Maturey.
